Kelly Macdonald (voice of Merida), John Lasseter, and the red headed princess herself (with Angus, of course) arrive at Disney Pixar’s “Brave” World Premiere at Dolby Theatre on June 18, 2012 in Hollywood, California.
Excuse me is that John Lasseter in a fucking kilt LET ME DIE

Pixar spent nearly three years developing two unique software systems for Merida’s hair: one program coordinated the movement of 1,500 separate curls, the other created a seamless relationship between Merida’s hair and her movements.
need to see if just for hair because that’s a lot of fucking effort for hair
do you think there was a point in production where they were just like
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK WHY DID WE DO THIS

“She bristles at the traditional gender roles that she’s expected to play: the demure daughter, the obedient fiancée…She’s certainly not swooning, boy-crazy Disney Princess like ‘The Little Mermaid’s’ Ariel or Snow White. ” -Adam Markovitz.
This infuriates me.
This is what’s wrong with society. People are so concerned with the sexual orientation of a Disney animation that the miss the whole point of the movie. Can’t a girl not want to be with a guy and NOT be a lesbian? She’s like 16, she doesn’t know these boys, and she’s not ready for marriage. That doesn’t mean she HAS to be a lesbian. If that’s the case, fine, that’s her business. But by saying that’s the ONLY reason she couldn’t be interested in any of the boys, who were all terrible suitors, you are completely missing the point!
She’s a teenager! She shouldn’t want to get married. Shame on you people.
Some people don’t know how tomboys work, do they?

pixar has officially created technology to bring their characters out of the films.
